Paul (Jolly) Jolovitz hosts shows on WIP on nights and weekends.
Jolly came to Philadelphia from the Washington, D.C. area to attend Penn over twenty years ago, and loved the city and its passion so much that he stayed and made it his home. He worked at PRISM Sports from 1985 to 1997, which is when he started at WIP. Paul has been a part of many Wing Bowl broadcasts, as well as covering the NFL Draft and many other events for WIP.
You might also catch Jolly on his frequent appearances on Comcast's 'Daily News Live', and he has written outside opinion columns for the Philadelphia 76ers website as well. He is also a professional stand-up comedian who has worked in Philadelphia, New York, and Las Vegas, among other places. In addition, Jolly emcees and speaks at golf tournaments and a variety of other events.
Nothing would make Jolly happier than to see the fans of Philadelphia skip work and school to go to a parade on Broad Street. "These fans are the most fantastic and deserving people in the world, and to see the years of frustration end in sheer joy would be unbelievable fun for us all. The sooner the better!"
Jolly would like to someday be the best poker player in the world. "I love to compete and I have a hard time relaxing and doing nothing. Poker is the perfect cure for the Type AAA person that I am."
Remember two things about Jolly:
1. He loves to entertain people and make them laugh
2. He believes that second place is the first loser.
"WIP lets me have a great time talking sports and entertaining people. I am a lucky guy."
