WIP’s Howard Eskin Presented With Award
At Annual Achievement In Radio Awards
The March of Dimes will host the 15th Annual Philadelphia Achievement In Radio (A.I.R.) Awards luncheon on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Philadelphia Hilton Hotel. The event recognizes achievement in Philadelphia radio by presenting over 30 awards in the categories of News, Sports, Public Affairs, Shows and Talent, Advertising and Station Promotions.
One of the highlights of the luncheon will be the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Each year, the Philadelphia A.I.R. Awards Board of Governors honors an outstanding radio professional with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
We are pleased to announce that Howard Eskin has been selected as this year’s honoree. “We are all very proud of Howard. Not enough is said about his philanthropic endeavors and they are vast. Very quietly, Howard has done a great deal for this community through both awareness and fundraising. He serves as a model for all broadcasters to follow,” said Marc Rayfield, Sportsradio 610 WIP SVP/General Manager.
