For years, Eagles fans have argued about whether the best teams of the Andy Reid and Dick Vermeil eras could stand up next to the championship teams of 1949 and 1960.
WIP’s Glen Macnow will find out the week of May 14 as WIP plays a 5 day virtual tournament among the top 6 Eagles teams of all time to discover which one, is the BEST OF THE NEST.
WIP has created a “dream broadcast” that will make listeners feel like they’re hearing the game as it happened should it have taken place.
Each night, beginning at 8:00PM, Macnow will host a 1 hour special which includes pre- and post-game coverage as well as the game itself featuring play-by-play by the
voices of legendary Eagles broadcasters Merrill Reese + Bill Campbell, as well as commentary about the teams from former players and coaches.
Among those scheduled to appear are former players:
Eric Allen, Tom Brookshier, William Fuller, Bill Bergey,
and......
former coach Dick Vermeil (1980)
The final game to determine the best team of all time will be broadcast Saturday May 19 during the Glen Macnow + Ray Didinger show from 10am-3pm on 610 WIP.
This amazing on-air event wouldn't be able to take place with out the technology and assistance from What If Sports.com. We urge you to visit the site to simulate games on your own and earn a free season of SimLeague Football. Click logo.
